We used pastels over our smaller sketches. We used blue colour for the seas and brown colours with yellows and oranges for the earth and greens for the grass trees and vegetation. We used other colours as well. We had the moon or sun. We used the koru patterns and other symbols. Some of us used black as an outline. We thought our Strips of Aotearoa were great and look fabulous.
We are a happy, fun group of 6 -7 year olds.We are Year 2's, learning heaps everyday and helping each other. We are lucky as we have two teachers Mrs Greenham and Mrs Kelly because they teach Reading Recovery as well.We are in Room One at Glenbrae School in Auckland, New Zealand.

At the end of last term we were doing lots of activities and looking forward to all the new learning.Part of our new learning for Term 3 is about music and sound.
A string quartet came to school to show us their instruments and play for us. It was really fun and we learnt about the viola, violin and the cello.
