We learning about the seashore and rocky pools and creatures in the sea. We have written some stories about going to the seashore.
We drew a picture together about what we do at the beach too. We talked about all the words and found some of these words around the room and in a wordfinder.
We are a happy, fun group of 6 -7 year olds.We are Year 2's, learning heaps everyday and helping each other. We are lucky as we have two teachers Mrs Greenham and Mrs Kelly because they teach Reading Recovery as well.We are in Room One at Glenbrae School in Auckland, New Zealand.

Our Busy Weeks - Goodbye Mrs Cooper We will miss you heaps!!!!!!
Mrs Cooper had been our caretaker for 23 years. She did so many to help us around the school. Every class wrote her a card We drew pictures of all the work she does around the school We had a special assembly for her Our Class thought she was a real Mary Poppins and we sang a song for her. Other classes did action songs and special performances because she is a really special person.
There were lots of visitors to our assembly for her. She was lots of fun at our assembly too, too She enjoyed all our items
Mrs Cooper had a special cake made by Mrs Greenham It was very large and had 23 candles on it
One of the many cards that our classes made for Mrs Cooper

We thanked Mrs Cooper for all the great times she has given us and being such a wonderful part of our Community!!!!!Ka Pai Mrs Cooper!!!!!!!
Our Inquiry Day
We all enjoyed our Inquiry Day where we visited all the other classes to see what they had covered in their Inquiry Study on the Native Bush.
For all the classes visiting our room we designed a questionnaire survey where each pupil would have to look for answers around the room. Everyone who completed their survey went into a class draw for their own class. One winner was then drawn for each class.
We had a slide show on our zoo visit
