Oma's visit

We have been learning about the Netherlands. We have learnt many things and looked at stories from the Netherlands as well as puzzles and traditions that were on the websites.
We made some of our bread like they do in the Netherlands with seeds and wholemeal flour. Our class Oma came and talked to us about the Netherlands. We learnt lots of interesting facts and many more things about the Netherlands. She was neat fun. Lisa came too. She wrote lots.

HERE ARE OUR WRITINGS ABOUT THE NETHERLAND

Oma and Lisa told us about the windmills. the windmills make flour from wheat. The windmills pump water. Netherlands means low-land.

Oma and Lisa by Serina
Oma and Lisa came to visit us at school. Yesterday, Oma told us about different cheese. We peel the skin off and eat it. The skin stops it getting dry and it keeps it moist. Netherlands is a low-land. Sinterklass is Santa Claus. He rides on a white-horse.

    Hi Room 1,
What a lot of bits of information you learnt. Do you think that if a lady wore a pair of trousers, she could go up the windmill first? Did you know there is a windmill in Foxton, in the lower North Island? There used to be a windmill in Auckland too?
